Hey! I’m a horse trainer and riding instructor based in Cache Valley. I attended Utah State University and graduated with a bachelor’s in English and a minor in Equine Science. I believe all behaviors are communication, and I haven’t met a horse I couldn’t figure out.

My training methods are based on science-backed, ethical practices that work with horse psychology rather than against it. Most conflict behaviors are rooted in a lack of understanding and unclear communication. I use a combination of pressure and release (negative reinforcement) and positive reinforcement methods to achieve lasting results.

I prefer to include owners in the training process. I want owners to feel competent and capable of working through problems with their horses. Without education, the problem behavior cycle can’t be fully interrupted. My goal is to teach you and your horse how to handle things so you don’t have to call me back.
